It's time once again

It's that time of year again! We now get to discover which beloved Stampin’ Up! products need to be hoarded for all eternity from the annual catalog. It is a sad time as we mourn the loss of our favorite papers and/or panic because we absolutely have to purchase that stamp set we've had our eye on as it embarks on its next adventure, retirement.

Your frantic scrolling and adding products to your shopping cart may commence via Retiring Products on the Shopping Site link I have provided or by clicking the specific Categories below.

 Retiring Bundles  The "Other" Category

Stampin' Up! is always changing and evolving as it embraces the next greatest crafting trends. One way we will see this happening is the use of the new Cling Mount, hence forward all wood mount and clear mount stamps that will be joining us in the new catalog will be Cling Mount.

There are several sets however on the retirement list that look as if they are going away forever but breath easy, they are just being reconfigured into the new style. Below are those stamp sets that will be getting a face lift in the new catalog, so stay calm and stamp on.

Retiring Stamps
If you are a planner and want to plot out every item in your stash that you need more of/never want to lose, at least for a few more months, I do have the retirement list for the Annual Catalog in an Excel worksheet. If you would like a copy, leave a comment below or email me and I will email it to you.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go frantically scroll and add things to my shopping cart. If you need me I’ll be at the  Retiring Products page.

Date Change - Ladies Classes

Every once in a while I have to move the date of Ladies Afternoon & Ladies Nite Out. This month is one of those months. Typically they are the 3rd Tuesday of every month, unless something comes up and I need to move it, which doesn't happen very often.

January's Ladies Classes will be on the 26th.

I hope to see you there. You can RSVP anytime by clicking on RSVP under the event on my calendar here.

My plan for this month's projects is Valentine. There are so many great ideas out there, the hard part is always deciding on just two.

I look forward to seeing you!

July Hostess Club Project

I am truly aware that we don't make near enough men's cards in my classes so I decided that caseing this one from the catalog would be a wonderful idea. The inspiration I started with can be found on page 83 of the 2015/2016 Annual Idea Book & Catalog.

As you can see from the inspiration, they used Crumb Cake Cardstock for the base, but because I wanted to use the new Corrugate Paper, I decided to start with a Basic Black Cardstock base instead. I don't know what Stampin' Up!'s concept artists used to make the splatters on the card. If they didn't use a stamp it's possible they used an aqua painter, picked up some ink and then flicked it on to the card. You can get the same effect by using a toothbrush.

Stampin' Up!'s version uses:
  • Travler Stamp Set
  • One Big Meaning Stamp Set
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock & Ink Pad
  • Basic Black Cardstock & Ink Pad
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Whisper White Baker's Twine

My Version uses:
  • Traveler Stamp Set
  • Guy Greeting Stamp Set
  • Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set
  • Basic Black Cardstock & Ink Pad
  • Crumb Cake Corrugate Paper
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Soft Suede Cardstock for the envelope
  • Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper - for the envelope liner. I know it doesn't look like it because the stripes aren't at an angle but it is, trust me.
  • Envelope Punch Board - Because this card is not a standard size, it's actually 4.25"x4.25".
  • Dimensionals, of course.

Where oh Where?

Where oh Where have I been? It seemed like after all the events in February all I wanted to do was relax and take things easy, not doing a whole lot other than prepping for ALLP, Hostess Club and Ladies Classes. Still a full schedule with deadlines but not as hectic.

I'm happy to say I may be making my way out of hibernation and possibly joining the world of blogging and updates again. I have a lot to share.

And speaking of updating and sharing, Guess What!?!?!?

Starting on Monday and going through next Friday (April 21st - April 25th) Stampin' Up! is offering Free Shipping on everything! Print Products, Stamps, Accessories, Clearance Rack items, you name it, if they sell it will ship for FREE!!! No minimum order!

And.....The Retired List will be posted on Monday also! For the first time ever, everything on the retiring list, including Stamp Sets, will be available only While Supplies Last. So run don't walk to your computers on Monday to find out what will be retiring and place your order to get it right away, before it goes away forever!

Thanks for stopping by, I'll wipe the sleep from my eyes and try to post more.
