Only 20 Minutes for a Screening

I can't believe it only took 20 minutes from the time I got to the Women's Center to the time I got back into my truck. I couldn't get through the Chik-fil-a drive-through during lunch hour in that amount of time.

I kept hearing, "I'm too sexy for my shirt" playing in my head as I was changing into this lovely hospital top. Specially designed for the procedure I was about to have done.

What did I have done at the Women's Center? I had my Mammogram. I will admit I have been a very bad girl and if my grandma knew how long it had been since my last mammogram I think she might ground me.It's not that I don't know how important it is to have the "Girls" checked annually.

I was dreading going, not just because I wasn't looking forward to a stranger fondle my breasts as she gently layed them in the machine only to turn "the screws", to get the best possible shot of anything that could be lurking in them.

But also, the thought of having to take time out of my day to go wait for who knows how long during each step of the process was just not something I was looking forward too.

After all, we have learned from past experience that waiting in the doctor's office can take hours.

I can honestly say that I am very happy that appointment is done and in the books, even if it did only take 20 minutes, start to finish. If you haven't had yours done lately you should make an appointment to do so, and afterwards treat yourself to something special because you took care of the girls.

Me? What did I do to treat myself? I got a massage.

Thanks for stopping by.
