...Wedding Invitations

It seemed that 2014 was the year that my daughter and a couple of her friends decided to get married. You may have already seen the Wedding Invitations that I did for her, here are the Invitations I did for her friend.

She loves bling so of course we used Glimmer Paper, and Pool Party was her color.

I had a bride and her Aunt visit me this week and when I showed her this invitation, she knew she had to have it. So we worked with her colors and she went home to decide what color combination she wants to use before she embarks on her DIY journey to make her invitations.

 

This is what my floor looked like after punching borders for 200 invitations.

Here they are all packaged and ready to deliver to the bride. She absolutely loved them and told me that everyone who received it knew it was "so her".



Do you use Glimmer Paper? It's a fast and easy way to get the glitter on a project without all the glue mess.

Wedding....

Hello ladies, and possibly gentlemen, I've been a little busy this month. February is the month for love and there is a lot going around. My daughter got married at the beginning of the month and then I was busy getting ready for a Bridal Show that my downline, Brandie, and I were to have a booth, and finally, I have 150 invitations to make for my daughter and her husband's friends, Josh & Christie. Is March here yet?

Isn't her dress beautiful! She and I made her bouquet from Real Touch flowers, no one knew that they weren't real flowers.

They just adore each other!

I made all of the paper items for their wedding, invitations, rsvps, information cards, signs for the tables, buffet, and bar, tags for the wedding favors. You name it, I probably made it! I was told that their wedding was the best "signed" event they'd ever been too. He knew how much time and effort I had put into everything and he noticed it at the wedding.

I have so much Very Vanilla Cardstock scraps, I don't think I will ever use it all.

The kissing bells came with their own little tags but they didn't match everything else, so of course I made my own, 144 of them.

We printed menus for every place setting that had games on the back. We purchased plain golf pencils with erasers and then Jessica's Maid of Honor, Bree, covered them with Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor Wonder Gold Washi Tape.

Someone asked me how much time I spent on making everything. I honestly couldn't say, except that, it was A LOT! But because it was for my daughter, and I enjoy doing these things so it was worth it!

Will You Say...

We have always loved watching "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC. We have even watched their spin off show, "Say Yes to the Dress - Atlanta". It's interesting to watch how family members and sometimes even grooms, push their opinions of the dress the bride should wear onto the bride, and not listened to what she wants. After all, isn't it supposed to be her special day. She wants to feel like a princess, even if it is only for one day in her life.

In honor of the show, I made some very special "invites" for a group of bridesmaids and maid of honors. The bride had already asked the girls if they would & could be in her wedding, I just thought it would be extra special if the bride sent them a special invitation to be in the wedding party.

Isn't this the most adorable card? It is closed with a belly band that says, 'Will you...' and then inside it says, '...say "Yes to the Dress" and be my Bridesmaid (or Maid of Honor for those girls)'. Wouldn't you agree, it's adorable? I'm very pleased at how it turned out.

This card uses a lot of retired Designer Series Paper and retired Blush Blossom Cardstock. It also uses the new Dress From Pop 'n Cuts and Card Base and the Dress Up Framelits Dies. I made one extra for her smash book, and I will eventually give it to her, after I'm done showing it off and looking at it.
